Down there someplace is my house. That’s not fog. Ewww. We got a little weather today that cleaned it up some but its been pretty gross for a few weeks now.

North about 40 minutes. This canyon buts up against American Fork Canyon which is accessed from the north part of the Provo valley.

Ah. I’m basically only familiar with Park City, Provo, SLC, and Lehi.
Smog a result of the huge influx of people over the last few years and booming local economy, perhaps? I can’t believe how different the valley looks every time I visit.

Ouch, looks like it’s a natural bowl for holding pollution

its a geographical problem, its a temperature inversion due to the way the valley is shaped and so the cold dense air settles below warmer higher pressure air and restricts the exchange of atmosphere and anything trapped in it. Its not so much that salt lake valley is full of polluters as much as it is that our geography can trap it all in. Its a giant covered wagon more or less.

more or less; cold air gets in, and then the warm air settles over it trapping it like a blanket between the mountain ranges. Since the cold air is trapped so is everything else that goes up...pollution mostly.

Oppo continues to be more educational than any blog.

Seemed to be clearing out today. I went up little cotton wood and did some touring. It was coming down pretty hard out there and wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be after all that warmth.

Thought about taking a canyon drive today to avoid inversion, but laziness got the better of me.

I don't miss that inversion at all. My eyes are irritated just looking at this.

it creamed up nicely yesterday, today would have been nice if there was some new stuff falling.

That is why you move to Heber. That and the Hub.

The desire to look in Midway is strong, many strong.

So California maybe isn’t so bad about trying not to put so much in the Air?

It’s nice on the east side of the mountains. Plus Midway / Heber is pretty convenient for getting to Provo, though less so if you need to get up to SLC for work.

I have been trying to get a job at Adobe so I can justify living in midway...so far no luck. I want to live in Midway so bad though, I love that place. Not that I don’t love where I live but Midway is magic town. Heber...less so.
